WORKSHOP
Designing Winning Business Models for Small Business Innovation and Growth
This innovative workshop series offers you a playing field where you can create and share rapid prototypes of your business model to test market assumptions and evolve your business much faster than traditional approaches. See how to construct and communicate your business model to understand where
value lies as defined by your customer and how to optimise their experience around these touch-points.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Start-up or established small Business owners/managers who want to drive their business forward.
BACKGROUND
New competitive realities have ruptured industry boundaries and rendered many conventional business models obsolete. Value innovation puts the customer at the heart of effective business model design. Innovation however has been traditionally identified with products and considered the domain of specialist producers who design and commercialise new products that are then passively adopted by customers. Open collaborative business models and new process technologies are beginning to complement and in some cases supplant traditional business models.
Business owner-managers rely on trial and error to configure their business without engaging their customers/users. For those who want to grow their business and develop new markets, this approach is less-effective. The difficulty in constructing powerful customer-centric business models is that owner-managers most likely lack the know-how to achieve this and do not have the tools to perform the necessary design and analysis. Few tools exist to help business owners/managers understand, map and share the business logic of their enterprise enabling them to innovate their business rapidly and effectively. Business model design tools available in the market often use formal abstractions that business owner-managers are not always able to relate to.
This workshop will help you realise the potential of your business and evolve your business model at low cost. See how to eliminate any work or investment that doesn’t create value, increase the utilisation efficiency of your resources and investments, and avoid incorrect market assumptions as early as possible.
